Throughout the years Disney movies have given us fantastic stories, based on fairy tales we grew up or are growing up with. Everything from Aladdin to Zootopia has a moral behind it and a lesson to be learned. While playing my way through KH3 or Kingdom Hearts 3, I came to the Tangled word. In the course of this world, I realized there was a lesson hidden in this world that I never realized. That lesson involves Identity.

In Ephesians 2:10 it says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” To understand this, the verse you have to understand the word in Greek which is workmanship it translates to his masterpiece. This verse says that we are works of art in God’s eyes; this is part of our Identity. In Tangled it starts with an iconic song that many of us know, that is Mother Knows Best. In part of this song, the mother tells Rapunzel that there is ruffians, fiends, poison ivy, quicksand. While this is true, Rapunzel was learning the bad things of this world. Just like as humans we listen to people and the enemy who puts labels and produces on us.

In Jerimiah 1:5 it says,” Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, I had a plan for you I had set you aside to be a prophet to the nations.” Am I saying that all of us are called to be prophets NO!!!!!!!!!! However, I am saying that God has something special just for you to do. Often, we are afraid to leave the tower we have built in our minds, but once we leave that tower and experience the freedom, then something special happens.

In 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” once we have even a hint of what our identity is then the enemy will try to keep you in your tower. However, it is of grave importance that you take hold of your identity and tell the enemy who you are. Tell HIM I AM A SON AND DAUGHTER OF THE HIGHEST KING!!!!!!! I AM THE APPLE OF GOD’S EYE. IAM CREATED IN HIS IMAGE. I AM HIS MASTERPIECE.
