This week on Geek Devotions! Celeste is taking a look at DisneyPlus' Lady and The Tramp! This "live-action" remake of the Disney Classic brings forth an interesting theme of loving people even if they don't come from the same background as you. Celeste uses this as a conversational piece to talk about how we should respond to the people of the world, even those we don't like.
Throughout the years Disney movies have given us fantastic stories, based on fairy tales we grew up or are growing up with. Everything from Aladdin to Zootopia has a moral behind it and a lesson to be learned. While playing my way through KH3 or Kingdom Hearts 3, I came to the Tangled word. In the course of this world, I realized there was a lesson hidden in this world that I never realized. That lesson involves Identity.
This week, Celeste springboards off of her podcast appearance on Retro Rewind Podcast where she talked about Disney's The Little Mermaid. The scene where King Triton does everything he could to find his daughter really struck Celeste and reminded her of our Heavenly Father. Did you know that God chases after you?
For this week's Morning Geek Commute we talk about a potential feature-length movie of Disney's Gargoyles and a new live-action The Little Mermaid. We also talk about some random bits of fun stuff in our life.
Special LIVE Extra Tuesday where we discuss our thoughts on Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time" Did we like? Did we not like it? Who is this film really for?
