It is officially Geekmas 2018! This week Dallas takes a look at the 1964 classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! What can we learn from this classic story about a bullied Reindeer who saves Christmas? Watch and fight out!
Welcome to week 3 of Dystopian Devotionals Month! This week Celeste and Dallas watched Equilibrium. The promise of the movie (world peace is obtained by the suppression of emotions) led Celeste to the following conclusion; we really do need emotions. Specifically, however, we need Love. What does it look like? How do we live it out? Check out today's episode and find out!
As a follower of Jesus, we must live our lives in a way that reflects the effect of Christ’s supremacy in our lives. The best way of doing this is to do the very best we can in whatever situation we are in. The purpose of doing this not just so that we can carry the title of “Christian” but so that we can be an example of those around us who do not know Christ.
This week on Geek Devotions Celeste takes a look at CW's 4 part crossover called Crisis on Earth X! She also tackles a particular question that many people find themselves asking, "What If?" We often find ourselves asking that question after a major tragedy or mistake has taken place. Sometimes we wonder if God can even do anything good through the situation. So how do you deal with the big "What if" questions?
This week on Geek Devotions, we take a pause from our Summer Serial Event to talk about something interesting. Angry Christians... In the midst of media attacks from media outlets, it's easy for Christians to become frustrated and angry at situations and people. But are they really helping the kingdom of God?
In Howls Moving Castle we see Sophie trying desperately to help Howl with his curse. However, until she was able to help herself with her own curse she was unable to help Howl with his. Often we need to make it through the tough things so that we can share it with others and help them through theirs. Sometime helping them is just reminding them that getting past the issue is possible.
Today's Extra Tuesday is a bit different. Today's episode is in response to some things that have taken place on YouTube recently. We are asking the question, is it ok to do things that are offensive if it's just for the LOL's?
