Melanie Dickerson brings us another great reimagining of the classic tale. This time it's the story of Mulan. Mulan knows that she should marry, cook, and have children rather than wage war. Can she surpass these insurmountable odds, stay alive, save her mother, and keep the secret from the handsome son of a duke?
Back in 2014, a woman named Christine Weick was filmed attempting to convince people that Monster Energy Drinks had ties to the occult and particularly Satanism itself. She laid a variety of "proofs" in the video the caused some to question things. At the time of its release, I was in charge of running the coffee shop at my church where we had Monster energy drinks. In response, I did my due diligence to research into the claims. Below is a repost (edited slightly) of my findings that I posted on a personal website many years ago.
2019 marks a spectacular return for Dragonball fans. With the series renaissance starting back in 2008, none of us knew what to expect going forward. Especially not a whole new series continuing the original manga run! The emergence of Dragonball Super along with Akira Toriyama back at the helm continues to dazzle and delight fans worldwide. You get the beautiful Dragon Ball Super Broly.
Being a child of the late ’80s and ’90s; I’m very well acquainted with the Carmen Sandiego franchise. I grew up playing many different variations of the computer game, watching the game shows, and of course the 90’s cartoon. It’s no hyperbole to say that this franchise was a big help in my understanding of geography in my elementary days. So when I heard that Netflix was doing a brand new series, I was very interested. But is it worth watching? Does it live up to my expectations?
I have to be honest. I didn't think I would be writing this article. When I saw the trailer of Titans where Robin gave his now infamous line expressing what he thought of Batman, I assumed this was the same song, different verse. DC was once again trying to take iconic, hope-inspiring superheroes and make them dark and gritty. Yes, Batman is gritty, and yes, people like that about him. But it seems DC is beginning to think that is the only way to have a good superhero story--make it more like Batman. Not that I agree with or appreciate Robin's choice of words, but I was beginning to feel the sentiment he expressed.
