It is the season finale of season 6 of Geek Devotions! For tour final episode we have invited our friends Adrian and Steff of the Podcast, Talks with Adrian and Steff, to take over the show! Today they are taking a look at the series Manifest and asking the question; does God really work things out to your good like how Romans 8:28 says? Or is there more to this discussion?

What would you do if you returned from a week long trip and found out 5 years had passed while you were gone. This is exactly what happened to the passengers on Flight 828 on the hit TV show Manifest.

Hello and welcome to geek devotions, the show from devoted geeks who are devoted to letting you know that you’re loved. We are Adrian and Steff. We have a Podcast, YouTube Channel, and a Twitch stream all revolving around our lives in a long distance relationship. Now with that said, we want you to know that even if you Don’t watch past this moment, We love you and care about you and there is a plan and a purpose for your life.

Manifest follows 2 siblings Michaela and Ben Stone as they try to track down other passengers and unravel the mystery of what happened on Flight 828. Throughout the series all sorts of explanations are considered – government conspiracy, scientific anomaly, or divine intervention. All they know is that strange things keep happening and it seems that all the passengers are being guided by some unseen force.

Throughout the show there is a common focus on scripture with many passengers believing that their experience was a gift OR even punishment from God. In the series pilot episode, Ben & Michel’s mother leaves them with a scripture Romans 8:28

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose”
