As we continue on with Fangtober, Celeste takes a look at the 2012’s Vampiric Rom-Com – Vamps. In this film we find an older vampire helping another to adjust to undead life and helping her to live that life without actually biting people! One big key… accountability. But how does this apply to you?
Today we’re talking about 2012 Vamps. In this movie, we are introduced to 2 vampires named Goodie and Stacy, who don’t drink human blood. Instead, they consume blood from animals and go out and party at night. Overall, the movie is pretty cute, but if you would like to hear a more comprehensive review, check out the one our friend Ashley did for us. Links down below.
Throughout the movie, you see that Goodie and Stacy both rely on the other one pretty heavily. Goodie is why Stacy became a vamp rather than just being dead, and Stacy is the reason that Goodie didn’t give up a long time ago. They hold each other accountable as well as lift each other up when they’re down.
This is an excellent example of proverbs 27:17 coming into play.
Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17 ESV
We, as Christians, are meant to lift each other up, challenge each other, and hold each other accountable. We need people like Stacy or Goodie in our lives and need to be like Stacy or Goodie. Minus the whole… Vampire thing. haha
Having that relationship with someone can be scary bc that means you have permitted them to see all the things you generally keep hidden away. Still, if you trust them enough, it can be so rewarding as well as beneficial to both of you in your walk with Christ.
