Recently YouTube had a major issue, they went down for one entire hour. The question has risen, how do we as creators handle things if YouTube goes dark forever?
1. Back up all of your content. We have a hard drive that contains all of our episodes back to episode one of season one of our show. If you are a regular live streamer, go into your YouTube Studio, click on Video Manager and download your episodes.
2. Diversitize where and how you connect with your audience. Yes invest in the YouTube platform but create connection points on Facebook, Discord and other platforms.
3. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. YouTube may not be around forever so plan ahead. If you’re solely relying on Goole AdSense create a new business plan. Try asking people to help support you via Patreon or create something that you can sell. Plan ahead and be looking at new platforms that may be viable for your content.
Leave some comments down below and tell us your tips for surviving on YouTube and what your plans are for if YouTube every goes dark forever.
