6 Week Gaming Tournament and Spiritual Growth Curriculum

WHAT IS THIS?

This is a 6 week curriculum designed to help your students understand the fundamentals on how to stay focused on what God has for them as they race through life. This curriculum was designed to go hand and hand with a multi-day tournament event. The idea is that students come in, your leaders hype the students for the day, then progress with a Mario Kart Tournament. Each day equals one set of racing. After the racing for the day is done you sit the group down for a discussion on the topic of the day. When this was originally taught, everything, minus small group discussion time, was done within and hour.

WHAT YOU WILL FIND

Each lesson begins with a “Getting Started” section that lays out some instructions for each day of the “tournament” portion of the day. It will also include some tips on things you’ll want to keep in mind for the day. The lesson is primarily written in a first-person format to make it easier for leaders to read along with certain items in bold to help give direction. At the end of each lesson, you will find a series of questions that can be used either as a challenge for students or to be discussed in small group discussions. We have tried to create age-appropriate questions, so you’ll see a section for Junior High and High Schoolers. Even though it’s broken up that way, questions can easily be repurposed for any age group.
