In this episode, we talk about the brotherly relationship between Grey and Zach, and how we have someone who is closer than a brother.
Brotherly Bonds
In Jurassic World, we meet Grey and Zach, who are having quite a bit of family drama stuff going on. They are sent to spend a week with their aunt who is a manager at the Jurassic World Park.
As usual Bad things start happening with the dinosaurs and Grey and Zach are in the mix of it all. At one point Zach tells Grey that he is scared, as anyone would be. Grey goes, that’s ok, remember the ghost in the garage? What did I do then? Zach goes, well you made a paper Battle ax and scared it away. To which Grey responds, that’s right, We’re brothers, I will always be there for you.
Now Zach’s response really got me thinking. He said, but in a few years, you will be leaving. See Grey is roughly 16ish, and to Zach that seems like his brother will be gone forever. We all know that what Grey meant was that he would be there for Zach emotionally and always love him. But Zach is meaning the physical always be there.
Closer than a Brother
Proverbs 18:24 “ A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
The author of this proverb is referring prophetically to Jesus, Holy Spirit, and God.
We as Christians have access to a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
All we have to do is call on Him when we are in need. He is always there for us no matter where we are physical, spiritual, or emotional lives. It’s one of the promises we are given.
So as you go into this next week keep that in mind. That and as always, we love you devoted geek.
